Senworks offers SEND consultancy to mainstream and special schools looking to improve their provision for pupils with SEND.

Abigail Gray has more than 30 years of experience in SEND, teaching in a variety of challenging settings in London and the southeast. Her career has taken her from teaching assistant to SENCO and specialist teacher to Headteacher. 

Having built two successful provisions, in both mainstream and special settings, Abigail offers expert advice focused on improving the outcomes of pupils with SEND.

Since establishing Senworks Ltd in 2013 Abigail has worked with schools in the UK an internationally as an independent SEND consultant.  She is the author of two books, Effective Differentiation (Routledge 2018) ‘The Effective Teaching Assistant’ co-authored by Melanie Wright (Routledge 2020).

She has guested on ‘SEND in the Experts’ with Georgina Durant and ‘The SEND Cast’ with Dale Pickles and spoken to live audiences at The TES SEND Show, The World Education Summit, The National Education Show in Wales and Westminster Insight to name a few. She has written led countless training courses for schools on supporting the needs of pupils with SEND and created online, on-demand courses to support her books and live events.

She is a contributing author to the training platform the Global Inclusive Teaching Initiative and continues to write and blog on SEND policy and practice on LinkedIn.

Abigail became a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teachers in 2019.
